Chief Executive Officer

Throughout his 30+ years in the Frame and Truss industry, Darren realised his vision: to create the ultimate building system based on his personal philosophy to ‘Build Better’. In order to help his building partners ‘Build Better’, Darren developed a system that reduced waste, minimised wasted time on site, and ultimately found the simplest and most effective way to get the job done.

When Darren purchased AusSteel, he did so with the goal of building an incredible group of forward-thinking team members and building partners. Darren drives AusSteel to be a catalyst for constant improvement, recognising and creating opportunities to enhance growth and success in others.

Chief Operating Officer

Lewis has been a core part of the AusSteel team for over a decade. Starting on the factory floor and moving through to estimating, sales, site works, and management – Lewis has worked passionately across all facets of the business. His breadth of experience has afforded him an in-depth and nuanced understanding of the company operations.

In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Lewis enjoys the challenge of solving complex problems. Driven by his passion for business expansion, it’s Lewis’ mission to build a team that is effective, driven, and creative. Maintaining a keen focus on developing systems to continue growth and advance innovation, Lewis is excited about the evolving future of AusSteel and our building partners.

Director

Kim joined the AusSteel team in 2013 and quickly became a leader in company culture. While working closely with Darren and Lewis to build both a product and team that reflects their company vision, Kim has pursued her own goal of creating a joyful and accepting workplace environment.

With an unwavering drive to provide every employee with a safe and inclusive workplace, it is Kim’s ultimate mission to ensure the AusSteel team feel inspired, valued, and motivated – whilst being afforded the space and resources to maintain the forward-thinking and innovative approach for which AusSteel is renown.
