Description

As Australia’s leading residential steel frame supplier, Aus Steel has seen considerable growth and success over the last few years due to its unrivalled industry experience and drive to always challenge the way we build. Due to this success, the company is seeking a Yardsman to start ASAP.

 Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will ensure jobs are ready for delivery, including the collating and strapping of frames, trusses, floors and ancillaries per load. You will re-organise the yard and move jobs/material around as required. It is essential that you keep work areas clean, tidy, and organised at all times.

About the role

  • Starting at $25.31+ per hour, full-time (Depending on experience)

  • ASAP start

Key Responsibilities

  • Have jobs ready for delivery. Including the collating and strapping of frames, trusses, floors and ancillaries per load.

  • Store packs once complete from manufacturing area and return trolleys.

  • Unload and store deliveries e.g. steel coil, ancillaries.

  • Check yard sheet once loaded to ensure that all items are loaded (see SOP yard sheet).

  • Perform daily forklift vehicle checks for safety and maintenance issues.

  • Assist with coil changeovers as required.

 The Requirements

  • Forklift ticket required.

  • Construction white card required

  • Be reliable and have a great work ethic!
